Sommelier x FriendlySpinach

Sommelier’s Fri, Sept 15 show at Necromancer brewing will debut the group’s collaboration with Yoni Maltsman (@friendlyspinach).

Sommelier and FriendlySpinach have conspired on digital visual projections that will interact with the former’s live performance. The music at Necromancer on Fri, Sept 15 will begin at 6pm. More details.

Yoni Maltsman (@friendlyspinach) can't draw for his life, but he does know how to use Craigslist. He bought a camera, took a few photos, bedazzled them with code, and now calls them art. His work aims to find common ground between the eccentric rhythms of music, color, math and electronics. You can catch him wandering around Pittsburgh with a basketball and massive water bottle.

Sommelier create fervid rock music. In unflinching, unblinking live performances and a charge to independent community-building – events organized by Sommelier in 2022-2023 alone have raised over $2,000 for Pittsburgh area non-profits – the group have set their mark in the skin of modern independent music (our last defense).
