Loud & Proud Music Festival

Rock bands Lylyth and Sommelier have teamed up to present the Loud & Proud Music Festival, which will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Ormsby Avenue Cafe (outdoor space). All proceeds from this LGBTQ+ friendly event will benefit the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation.

The Loud & Proud Music Festival will spotlight a diversity of LGBTQ+ talent from the Greater Pittsburgh area and surrounding regions. Performers include: Bryce Bowyn, Odd Atrocity, Sherry CD-ROM, King Blue Heron, K9Diet, Rhythm of the Night Fusion Band, V.V.itch, Casey Catone, Kumanji Johnson, Pwuppy (DJ set), Lylyth, and Sommelier.

Attendees of the Loud & Proud Music Festival will also have the opportunity to browse and support several art/vendor booths by area LGBTQ+ creators - including crochet and jewelry artists, printmakers, and more.

Catatouille food truck will be onsite at the event selling international street foods. Catatouille is all plant-based all the time; a non-profit food truck, Catatouille have graciously committed to donating a portion of their proceeds during Loud & Proud to the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation.

Pittsburgh indie label Gumlock Records will curate the release of a compilation album featuring music by Loud & Proud Music Festival performers and additional LGBTQ+ and ally acts. As with all proceeds from the event, all proceeds from the sale of the compilation album will benefit the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation.

The Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation was founded to improve the health of the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities in Western Pennsylvania by addressing the Center for Disease Control’s Social Determinants of Health. The Loud & Proud Music Festival is co-presented by the rock bands Lylyth and Sommelier. Equally active in the Pittsburgh music and arts communities, the groups’ respective music benefit events have raised a combined $6,000 for Pittsburgh area non-profits such as Crisis Center North, WPA Fund For Choice, Literacy Pittsburgh, the Greater Pittsburgh Area Food Bank, and more.

The Loud & Proud Music Festival will kick off at 1pm and run through 9pm at the outdoor space adjacent to Ormsby Avenue Cafe. The venue is located at 402 Ormsby Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15210. Tickets for the Loud & Proud Music Festival can be purchased in advance online for $12 and for $15 on the day of the event.
